Direct primary care pediatrics, built around your family from birth through age 21

BALANCED KIDS MEMBERSHIPS

Flat monthly pricing, direct access to me, and care that comes to you. Balanced Kids memberships give families ongoing pediatric support through every season of childhood, without the middleman, the waiting room, or the surprise bills.

Less waiting. More listening.

Most pediatric relationships look the same. You book. You wait. You see the provider for ten minutes. You leave with more questions than answers. You wait again until the next problem.
A Balanced Kids membership flips that pattern. Instead of transactional visits, you get ongoing access to a provider who actually knows your child, answers thoughtfully between visits, and shows up at your door when something isn't right.

Because the best pediatric care isn't just what happens at the visit

WHY A MEMBERSHIP?

Two memberships. One goal. Finding the right fit for your family

COMPARE PLANS

Both memberships give you the core Balanced Kids experience: direct access to me, in-home care, and no insurance middleman. The difference comes down to how much care your family needs, and how you'd like to pay for it.

Not sure which plan is right for your family? Keep scrolling. The next two sections break it down by benefits and by the kind of family each plan was designed for.

On-the-spot rapid testing

Flu, COVID, RSV, strep. Tested right in your kitchen. Results in minutes.

First-dose medications on hand

No rushed pharmacy trips after a visit. Common antibiotics, steroids, and eye drops often come with me, so treatment can start before I leave your house.

Minor laceration management

For the everyday scrapes and cuts that look scarier than they are. Taken care of at home, without a trip to urgent care.

Unrushed visits in your own home

Care happens where your child is already comfortable. No waiting rooms, no logistics, no hauling a sick kid out the door.

Direct text and phone access to me

Message me a question between visits. Send a photo of a rash. Ask whether a symptom is worth a visit or worth watching. Real answers from someone who knows your child, usually within two hours during business hours.

An at-home telehealth care kit

Included with your enrollment fee. Thermometer, pulse oximeter, ear camera, and rapid tests for strep, flu, and COVID. It's the tool that makes same-day virtual visits actually useful, because I can see and test what you're seeing from wherever you are.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

A closer look at what membership feels like in practice

The table tells you what's included. Here's what those benefits actually feel like when you're living with them.

Not sure which membership fits? Here's how I usually break it down

SICK KIDS MEMBERSHIP

You're happy with your current pediatrician for well-child checks, but you want a better option for sick days.

Your child is generally healthy, and you're looking for same-day support when something does come up.

You want direct access to me between visits without committing to a full primary care relationship.

You're curious about how Balanced Kids works and want a lower-commitment way to try it.

You have more than one kid and want a lower monthly rate that still covers the essentials.

WHO EACH TIER IS FOR

is right for you if:

COMPREHENSIVE MEMBERSHIP

You're ready for me to be your child's full primary care provider.

Your child has a condition that benefits from ongoing care, like ADHD, asthma, eczema, or allergies.

You're interested in integrative care options, like cannabinoid consultations or pharmacogenomic testing.

You want the most predictable monthly cost, with most visits and services included.

You want the kind of provider relationship where I know your child's whole story.

What access actually looks like

ACCESS & AVAILABILITY

A Balanced Kids membership gives you far more access than a traditional pediatric practice. But it's not 24/7 on-call care, and I want to be up front about what that looks like, so there are no surprises when you need me.

Standard hours: Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Response times for members:

Text messages are answered within two hours during business hours, and often much sooner. I do my best to answer messages 24/7; however, messages sent overnight may not be answered until the next morning.

After-hours, weekends, and holidays:

After business hours availability is a real benefit of membership. Because I'm a solo provider, I can't guarantee response outside of business hours. Think of after-hours access as a nice addition, not a promise.

After-hours in-home care:

When available, an in-home visit outside of standard hours can be arranged for members for an additional $100 fee. Not available for non-members.

A note on emergencies:

Balanced Kids is designed for convenient, same-day pediatric support. It is not emergency care. For serious concerns that cannot wait, go to the nearest emergency department or call 911.

The questions I hear most about membership

The short answer is that Sick Kids works best for families who want better sick care without changing pediatricians, and Comprehensive works best for families who want me to be their child's full primary care provider. If your child has a condition that benefits from ongoing care, like ADHD, asthma, allergies, or eczema, Comprehensive is usually the better fit because those follow-up visits are fully included. If your child is generally healthy and you just want a better option when something comes up, Sick Kids is usually the right starting point. Still stuck? The Meet & Greet is built for exactly this kind of decision.

Insurance is designed to cover major medical events, not the kind of everyday pediatric support that actually shapes your child's health. A Balanced Kids membership gives you things insurance usually doesn't, like direct text access to your provider, same-day or next-day appointments, in-home care, and longer unrushed visits with someone who truly knows your child. Many families keep their insurance for emergencies and specialists while using Balanced Kids for day-to-day pediatric care.

In many ways, yes. Members can reach me directly by text or phone between visits, which means you can ask a question, send a photo, or check in about a symptom without scheduling a full appointment. Instead of waiting days for a callback or sitting in urgent care, you get answers from someone who already knows your child. Within standard business hours, I aim to respond within two hours and often much sooner. After-hours access is a nice benefit when I'm available, but because I'm a solo provider, it's not guaranteed around the clock.

The Telehealth Care Kit is included with your one-time enrollment fee and ships to members at the start of their membership. It includes a thermometer, pulse oximeter, ear camera, and rapid tests for strep, flu, and COVID. With these tools at home, I can assess and treat many concerns virtually and in real time, often without needing an in-person visit. The kit is what makes same-day virtual care actually effective, because I can see and test what you're seeing from wherever you are.
