I COME TO YOU

WE STAY CONNECTED

Start online or send a text. Pick the service that fits your family, share a few details about your child, and choose a time that works. Same-day and next-day visits are often available.

I arrive at your door with everything needed for the visit. Stethoscope, otoscope, thermometer, rapid tests for strep, flu, COVID, and RSV, and first-dose medications when appropriate. No clinic. No waiting room. Just care where you already are.

You'll leave every visit with a clear plan, a written summary if you'd like one, and direct access to reach me between visits. For members, that means text and call support whenever questions come up. For à la carte visits, follow-up guidance is included.

The care that keeps your child growing, thriving, and seen

Well-Child Checks

School, Sports, and Camp Physicals

Routine checkups designed to support your child's growth, development, and overall wellbeing. Recommended shortly after birth, then at 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, and 24 months, then yearly.

Immunizations
are approached through a neutral, evidence-informed lens. If you choose to vaccinate, they can be given in the comfort of your home.

Physicals for school, sports, camp, or any activity that requires one. Done at home, or arranged as a group for sports teams, church groups, or community organizations at a discounted rate. Families who need physicals together can often save time and money by booking as a group.

Well-child visits are more than a growth chart and a vaccine schedule. They're the place where questions get answered, development gets tracked thoughtfully, and the relationship between provider and family grows stronger every year.

At Balanced Kids, well care happens at home. That means your child is in their own space, in their own rhythm, and the conversation can stretch to cover whatever you actually need to talk about. Sleep. School. Screens. Nutrition. Milestones. Emotional health. The questions you meant to ask last time.

Sick Visits

Ongoing Care & Follow-Ups

Timely, in-home care for the common childhood illnesses families deal with most. Ear infections, strep, flu, RSV, COVID, fevers, rashes, pink eye, UTIs, mild asthma exacerbations, and more. Rapid testing happens on-site. First-dose medications like antibiotics, steroids, and eye drops often come with me, so your child can start feeling better without a pharmacy trip.

For the conditions that need more than a single visit and a quick prescription. ADHD, asthma, allergies, eczema, and other chronic concerns deserve a provider who has the time to build a real care plan with you. These visits give us space to review what's working, adjust what isn't, and keep your child supported over time.

Sick days don't wait for an appointment slot. When your child spikes a fever, wakes up with a sore throat, or spends the night coughing, you need real answers fast. Not a twelve-minute slot three days from now.

At Balanced Kids, sick care comes to you. Same-day and next-day in-home visits. On-the-spot testing happens on your kitchen counter. First-dose medications often come with me, so treatment can start right away. And for the conditions that don't resolve in a week, I'm here for the follow-up too.

Cannabinoid Consultations

Pharmacogenomic Testing

Evidence-informed guidance on how the endocannabinoid system may be influencing your child's health, behavior, or quality of life. Especially helpful for complex or hard-to-treat conditions where conventional options alone have fallen short. Every consultation includes a full review of your child's history, personalized recommendations, and a safe, individualized plan.

A simple, one-time genetic test that shows how your child's body processes and responds to medications. Useful for guiding safer, more personalized prescribing across your child's whole life. Also identifies genetic variations like MTHFR and COMT that can affect methylation, mood, focus, and how your child metabolizes both medications and nutrients. Results stay relevant into adulthood

When 'they'll outgrow it' stops feeling true.

INITIAL ALLERGY CONSULT

allergy testing

A first-look visit for families who suspect allergies are part of the picture but haven't tested yet. We walk through symptoms, patterns, what's already been tried, and your child's broader health context.

From there, you'll leave with clarity on whether testing is the right next step, what treatment paths exist, and a realistic sense of timeline. Bring questions. There's time for them.

A single blood draw measures allergen-specific IgE, the immune marker that shows what's actually triggering symptoms. One sample covers pollens, molds, dust mites, animal dander, and other common environmental triggers. Results return in a few days, followed by a visit to walk you through. Available for kids age 2 and up.

At Balanced Kids, allergy care starts by knowing exactly what's triggering the reactions, not guessing. A single blood draw, results in days, a specific list. From there, we can build sublingual immunotherapy drops formulated to your child's triggers, taken under the tongue at home and working the immune system toward true desensitization. The goal is to get out from under it. Not just better at managing it.

Allergy Testing & Sublingual Immunotherapy (SLIT)

SUBLINGUAL IMMUNOTHERAPY

Custom allergy drops, formulated to your child's specific triggers and placed under the tongue at home each day. No weekly shots. No allergy clinic. SLIT uses the La Crosse Method through Allergy Choices, the most-studied protocol available, and works the immune system toward true desensitization over a 3 to 5 year course.  First dose is given in the office for monitoring, then continued at home.

Approximately $150 every 3 months, out of pocket

A Balanced Kids membership folds most of these costs into a flat monthly rate, with waived travel fees, included on-the-spot testing, and direct access to me between visits.

Madelyn P

Dr. Sarah is absolutely amazing! She listened to our concerns, and was able to come see us for an ear infection the same day. It was so nice to not have to go to the clinic and wait forever.

Jessica S

She is thorough and thoughtful and I’m so grateful to her and her services. Cannot recommend her more enthusiastically.

Ann G

So grateful for Dr Sarah! . Dr Sarah came over same day and was able to rule out strep quickly with an at home test.

Kendra L

We had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Sarah. She was kind, attentive, thoughtful, and most importantly thorough. It was such a breath of fresh air to not have to bring my sick kiddo in to his clinic/urgent care.

Andy Kelly

We had the absolute best experience with Dr. Sarah during our concierge home visit yesterday. She is so pleasant, kind, and incredibly sweet with the kids. It’s obvious she has an impressive amount of knowledge and experience.

Victoria B

What stood out most was her calm, kind, and genuinely caring approach. She explained what was happening, walked me through next steps, and made sure I felt confident in how to care for my daughter after the visit.

Don't trust my word for it

Everything you've seen on this page can be booked à la carte, and many families start there. But if your family would benefit from flat monthly pricing, included on-the-spot testing, waived travel fees, and direct text and phone access to me between visits, a membership is worth a look.

Not unless you want one. Balanced Kids is designed to function as full primary care, so for many families, I'm the only pediatric provider they need. But you're also welcome to keep your existing pediatrician and use Balanced Kids for specific visits like same-day sick care, in-home well-child checks, or integrative consultations. After every visit, I can send a summary to your child's other provider so your whole care team stays connected.

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a healthcare model where families pay a simple, transparent rate or monthly membership instead of relying on insurance for routine pediatric care. It's designed to give your child's provider more time, easier access, and better communication. For Balanced Kids, it means I can spend longer with each family, build real relationships over time, and remove many of the barriers that make traditional pediatric care feel rushed or impersonal.

No. Balanced Kids offers both à la carte visits and membership plans. You can book a single visit anytime as a non-member. Members receive direct communication, priority scheduling, reduced per-visit costs, included on-the-spot testing, waived travel fees on one visit per month, and a telehealth care kit for use at home.

Not exactly, but the experience is similar. Concierge medicine typically involves providers who continue billing insurance while also charging a high annual retainer. Balanced Kids operates outside of insurance entirely, so pricing is simpler, more transparent, and usually much more accessible than traditional concierge care. The "concierge feel" (longer visits, direct provider access, a real relationship) is here. The high overhead and insurance middleman is not.

Travel fees are based on drive time from Downtown Prior Lake to your home. Visits within 15 minutes have no travel fee. Visits between 16 and 30 minutes are $60. Visits between 31 and 45 minutes are $90. Visits between 46 and 60 minutes are $120. Members receive one waived travel fee per month, per family. If you're not sure whether your location is in range, send a text to (651) 758-3184 and I'll let you know.

Members can reach me directly by text or phone anytime a concern comes up, including evenings and weekends. Having direct access often helps families avoid unnecessary urgent care visits. When your child is sick, they'll be added to what I call the Get Better Soon List, which means I'll continue checking in throughout their illness to offer continued support and make sure they're healing well. Please note that Balanced Kids does not provide emergency care. For emergencies, always call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

I arrive at your door with everything needed for the visit. Stethoscope, otoscope, thermometer, rapid tests for strep, flu, COVID, and RSV, first-dose medications when appropriate, and anything else the specific service requires. Visits happen in your living room, kitchen, or wherever your child is most comfortable. There's no rush, no clipboard, no white coat if you don't want one. You leave with a clear plan and the option for a written summary.

The Telehealth Care Kit is provided to members and includes a thermometer, pulse oximeter, ear camera, and rapid tests for strep, flu, and COVID. With these tools at home, I can evaluate many concerns virtually and in real time, often without needing an in-person visit. It's the reason membership care can be faster and more responsive than a traditional clinic model.

At this time, Balanced Kids does not administer vaccines directly. Purchasing vaccines outside of insurance-based clinics can be expensive, so for families who choose to vaccinate, I help coordinate care in the most affordable way possible. This includes helping you schedule vaccine-only appointments at local clinics, referring you to county-based immunization services or community health centers, and sharing information about free or low-cost vaccine events in your area. Vaccine discussions are approached through a neutral, evidence-informed lens, so every family receives clear information about benefits, risks, and available options to make the choice that feels right for them.
